Game of Thrones S4 E4 Recap: The Slowest Villains in History- Geek Insider

What’s that off in the snowy distance? Well, it looks like a White Walker. He sure is taking his time sauntering along on his zombie horse. I’m talking Samwell Tarley slow. Read More >>

Game of Thrones S4 E1 Recap: Enter the Viper- Geek Insider

I can’t believe that season four of “Game of Thrones” is finally here. We’ve endured the winds of winter and are rewarded with the slow but steady progress of our friends from Westeros and beyond. But if there is one thing I realized as the curtain was pulled back on “Game of Thrones” 4.0 it’s that while I love the show as a whole, I hate so many of the featured characters. Obviously there is king douche, Joffrey Barath-ister, but there’s also Sansa, Theon and even the mother of dragons gets awfully whiny at times. Read More >>

Can you see it in the distance? We’re one month away from the summer blockbusters. The ones you’ve been watching the trailers for all winter. Well don’t break out the sandals quite yet. For the second year in a row, I sit here having watched the season finale of the TBS reality show “King of the Nerds” and wondering what I just watched. Comic Book Television Preview: Part 1- DC Comics- Geek Insider

There are a lot of superhero movies out there. If the over-the-top Guardians of the Galaxy trailer tells us anything, it’s that this trend is just getting started as more obscure properties are about to rub elbows with Captain America and the other big names. But with production schedules and well planned out marketing campaigns, sometimes the wait between titles is just too long. Enter superhero television. Read More >>

March Movie Preview: Blockbusters Spring to Life- Geek Insider

Okay, so, February wasn’t as great as it initially looked. It under-performed financially, with the exception that the world fell in love with The Lego Movie and bounded to the theaters singing “Everything is Awesome.” There were some other strong movies that came out but it’s not quite showing in the wallets of their respective studios. Looking at March movies on paper, it should be a good month.Read More >>

Picking the All X-Men Winter Olympics Team- Geek Insider

A lot changes in four years. But no matter the situation, I seem to always think the same things around this time. Firstly, I should learn to speed skate. I think I would be good at it. Second, why don’t I go skiing more? It must be Winter Olympics time. And if we can get past Bob Costas and his crusty eye, there’s everything from curling to hockey and bobsled to enjoy. But the athletes are human, how pedestrian of them. Read More >>
